Art Deco Ballpoint Pen

This pen was designed by artist David Broadwell, famous for his award winning art knife and pen designs.  Art Deco was an opulent and lavish art form that spanned the 1920's and 1930's. The art form influenced architecture, industrial design, interior design, fashion, and film of the period.  You can see its influence in the architecture of many of the buildings that were designed during the period. Tall skyscrapers with geometric lines are awe inspiring! The city hall in Los Angeles, the Empire State Building, the Boston Ave. Methodist Church in Tulsa, the Texas & Pacific RR terminal in Ft. Worth, and the ultimate expression of Art Deco architecture, the Chrysler Building.  The  influence of the latter building can be seen  in this beautiful pen.  All components of this ballpoint pen are cast, polished and platted with a durable Gold Titanium Nitride and Black Titanium Nitride plating.  The design includes spires and starbursts that characterize the Art Deco period.  The pen clip features unique Are Deco Design and a radiant Swarovski Crystal.  The cap is a 3-D cast with intricate Art Deco Details.   The pen band is cast and gold plated with Art Deco Detail.  The body is hand turned from a beautiful piece of acrylic called Five Color Silver Blue.  It has been sanded and polished to a high luster.  This pen measures approximately 7/16 in in diameter and 5 1/2 inches in length.  It comes in a gray velour style pen box and ships free by USPS Priority mail.
