This Comfort model features our 24K Epoxy Coated Gold Plating with it's lifetime guarantee and a body hand turned from Spalted Maple wood found locally. Spalted wood is created by fungi that colonize dead trees. The coloration or discoloration are caused by fungi consuming the tree. The dark lines are called zone lines and are actually caused by the different kinds of fungi setting up barriers to protect their feed areas. The result is a very beautiful wood that is sought after by woodworkers. This Comfort pen uses a twist mechanism that uses a standard cross refill. Pen measures approximately 7/16" x 5" long.
